If you’ve ever opened a pack of baseball cards and felt that little jump in your chest—the “what if” feeling—then you already understand why I’m doing this. Collecting cards has always been a mix of excitement, nostalgia, and a little bit of science. And honestly? I like to keep it fun. Too many people in this hobby take things way too seriously. I’m here to enjoy it.

This blog is where I’m going to share the upside of the baseball card world: what I’m learning, what I’m chasing, what I’m buying, and what I’m seeing change in the market. Not as an “expert,” not as some big investor, but as a guy who genuinely loves this hobby and wants to grow it the right way.

Why I Started Iron Mike’s Cards

My buddy Flynn and I have been going deep into cards—Bowman Chrome, Topps Chrome, prospects, rookies, slabs, you name it. We’re building a business around it, but we’re keeping the heart of it old-school: have fun, stay honest, and appreciate the players and stories behind every card.

I created this space to bring people along for that ride.

What You Can Expect Here

Over time, I’ll be posting about:

Some posts will be informational. Some will just be me sharing something cool I pulled or something wild I saw happen in the hobby.

Keeping It Real

This hobby can get overwhelming fast. Prices change. Prospects break out or disappear. Boxes get expensive. But I’m a big believer that collecting should never lose what made it fun in the first place.

So whether you’re here to learn, follow our journey, or just enjoy the stories — welcome.

This is the upside of the hobby.
And this is just the beginning.
